Retaining Walls

Stacked stone, block & timber walls

Free EstimateSouth Bay & Tri-Valley · Mon – Sat

A retaining wall does real work — it holds back soil and water — so it has to be built for that before it's built to look good. We set a compacted footing, build the wall with drainage behind it, and backfill in lifts so it stays straight through wet winters. Then the finish: stacked-stone veneer with a clean precast cap, segmental block, or timber. We also build the low walls that change how a yard works — raised beds, seat-height planters, and front-yard terraces that turn a slope into flat, usable space.

Our Process

1

Evaluate

We look at the slope, the soil, the height needed, and where the water is coming from.

2

Footing

The trench is dug and a compacted base is set so the first course sits dead level.

3

Build & Drain

The wall goes up with drain rock and drainage behind it, backfilled and compacted in lifts.

4

Finish & Cap

Veneer and caps are set, the area is graded and cleaned, and the wall is ready to plant.
